Please see workouts below for today; athletes going to ocean breeze will leave from woodman at 2:40pm. As a reminder if you aren't feeling well (covid symptoms or not) you should not come to practice. If you take a covid test inform the coaching staff of this as soon as possible (rapid and PCR). However, you are not allowed at practice until you come back with negative results which must also be reported to staff. 

Please do not come to practice while waiting for results as this puts you and your teammates at risk; time missed will be excused. If you take a rapid and a PCR we request that you stay out of practice until you get your PCR results. As of now all meets from 12/27 through January 19th have been cancelled for the team and the majority of the team will remain on virtual training until further notice. 

Throwers & Jumpers: 

Warmup: Easy 8 minute jog, followed by workouts below on Nike training app

  1. Runner warm up

  2. Glute and hip strength 

  3. Glutes and glory

  4. Glutes to the max

  5. Runner flexibility


Distance:
Warmup: 8 min run/ active warm up/stretching

Long run: 20 minutes of 1 minute sprinting 1 minute controlled

3 minutes rest once completed

After interval 5x100m strides (preferably on Berkeley hill, if not then do the length of your street)

Cool down 10 min run and stretch


Sprinters:

Warm up 5 min run/ active warm up/stretching

10 x 100m build-ups walk back rest

If unable to make it to a track do the length of your street

Cool down 10 min run and stretch
