Spring Track and Field Information

For all individuals who need to have an IMPACT test, they will be administered on Monday February 23, 2015 and Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 3pm in the MAC lab. Please make sure you are in attendance on one of these two days. This test is good for two years, please keep that in mind. In order to take the IMPACT test you will have to bring the signed permission slip with you.

Please remember, the final two days to hand in paperwork for the 2015 Spring season are February 24 and 25 from 4pm-8pm in the LGI. Physicals will begin at 5pm. Updated Information

We have extended locker clean outs to tomorrow after school. If you still have a locker with a lock and belongings come down after school to clear it out. All locks will be cut and items discarded Tuesday morning

Just a reminder today is the last day to return uniforms. We will be collecting them at woodman field after school. Also if you have belongings in a locker make sure you come and take them out today or your lock will be cut and belongings discarded

Lou Molino Invitational

The event list has been posted for tomorrow. Meet on Midland Ave at 2:45pm. Please come dressed and ready to go. There may be changes made at the meet so be fully prepared.

Spring Track and Field Information

The following information is for all student athletes interested in participating in track and field for the spring season.

The season begins Friday March 6, 2015. We will meet at Woodman Field after school at 3pm.

If you are a freshman, junior or anyone who has not participated in a sport this year there will be an IMPACT test administered in the MAC lab located in the main building at 3pm. Please be on time and have the following paper filled out and signed by parent/guardian. IMPACT test permission slip

In order to be cleared for the spring season all paperwork has to be handed in on time. Paperwork will not be accepted during school hours anymore. Spring Track and Field designated day to hand in paperwork is Monday February 9, 2015 from 4-8pm in the small gym in the main building. You are to be accompanied by parent or guardian when you hand in your paperwork. If you are not able to get to your doctor, there will be a doctor on site to administer sports physical exams.

This process is being done to confirm clearance for sport on the spot.

We suggest that you invest in a good pair of running sneakers. Fleet Feet on Midland Ave does a wonderful job of recommending the best shoe for your foot. Also three days a week go for a 15 minute run, do some core work and stretch.

Important Announcements

Friday February 6, 2015 after school there will be a Spring Track and Field meeting in the LGI. All interested in participating please come out on this day.

Immediately following that meeting there will be a MANDATORY team meeting for the winter track and field team. Please let your teammates know to be in attendance.

VARSITY CLASSIC

The varsity classic has been rescheduled for Thursday January 5, 2015 at 5pm. The entire team should complete the workout previously posted. Enjoy the snow day

Monday Update

As of now the Varsity Classic is still scheduled for tomorrow. The event list has been posted. Please come dressed to school and immediately report to Midland Avenue. We will leave promptly at 2:40pm. RECHECK THE BLOG IN THE MORNING IN THE EVENT THINGS CHANGE.

For all who are not competing tomorrow, you have off this is  your workout to do on your on.

5 Sets:
 - 20 jumping jacks
 - 1 min planks
 - 20 push-ups
 - 1 min plank
 - 20 lunges (each leg)
 - 1 minute plank.
Rest, repeat

If you have access to a bike, elliptical or treadmill go for approximately 30 minutes and then do the above circuit.

Remember to stretch for 15-20 minutes when you have completed the workout. 

Plans for Monday

The event list for the Varsity Classic on 2/2/15 will be posted later this evening. In the event of a change in the meet due to in climate weather there will be another post. 
Be mindful of you do not compete at the Varsity Classic on tomorrow you will compete in the Ed Church meet which has been changed to FEB 4th (not the 3rd).
