The list of athletes competing and order of events has been posted. The bus will leave from Midland ave at 2:45pm all athletes are asked to be at Midland by 2:40pm. Athletes please come prepared in Montclair gear and layers; pack food/snacks and if need be money for the concession stand. Athletes not competing have the day off.

Midterms
During midterms athletes should report to woodman field at 2pm. All freshman and JV athletes must turn in uniforms by Tuesday the latest. For athletes competing on Wednesday the bus will leave from Midland ave at 2:45pm. Athletes will be informed tomorrow if and what they will be running on Wednesday.

Throwers will meet in the freshman gym tomorrow. Everyone is should report to woodman field after school. Also, if you are planning on doing a spring sport please see information below.
We will be using Genesis for all sports forms for the upcoming spring season.
We have opened a new Tab in your Parent and Student Access accounts called “Athletics”.
This screen will display the date of your last physical exam, and when it expires.
It will also list all of the dates you signed your required forms.
All Genesis forms must be completed no later than February 6th at midnight.
All Sports Physicals must be handed in no later than February 6th.
Please follow the steps below in order to sign up for WinterSports. Please log onto your Parent Access account and go to the Forms Tab.
• Please remember: DO NOT share your password with your child and allow them to log onto your account.
• Click on the form called “Spring Sports 2019-20”.
o Please review the first 4 questions on the form.
▪ Click on the link and review the document displayed.
▪ After reading the document click on the “Selected” check box to the right of the question for the following forms.
▪ NJSIAA’s Steroid testing policy.
▪ Sports-Related Concussion and Head Injury Fact Sheet.
▪ Sudden Cardiac Death Pamphlet.
▪ Opioid Video Sign Off Sheet
▪ Opioid Use and Misuse educational fact sheet.
o Review the NJSIAA Steroid testing Policy, and choose yes to consent to random testing.
o Read the districts Athletic Code of Conduct, and choose “Yes” that you and your child will abide by its provisions.
o Choose the sport your child wants to play from the dropdown menu.
o Click the green box called “Update Answers”.
o Click the Finalize check box.
o Click Ok when asked are you sure you want to finalize this form?
o Click Update Answers.
o If you do not answer all of the questions on the form, the form will not be accepted and your child will not be signed up for the sport they wish to play.
All medical forms are located on the MHS High School website under Athletics, Mandatory Forms. https://mhs.montclair.k12.nj.us/athletics/mandatory_athletic_forms
You must register every athletic season (i.e. Fall, Winter, and Spring)
You will still have to hand in the full medical packet (4 forms). You must have a valid physical on file in the Nurse’s office in order to play sports.
Athletes can turn in completed physicals from their Primary Doctor and the Health History Updated Questionnaire on the following days:
January 27th for Freshman in Room 400A.
January 28th for Sophomores during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
January 29th for Juniors during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
January 30th for Seniors during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
February 3rd for Freshman in Room 400A.
February 4th for Sophomores during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
February 5th for Juniors during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
February 6th for Seniors during your lunch periods to the Athletic Office in the Main Office of the High School.
*If you miss your date to submit your athletic forms in to Ms. Covello in person there will be a box placed outside of the athletic office for you to drop your signed forms off on January 27th. Please make sure you sign and date the “sign-in” sheet next to the drop off box so that you have evidence of dropping your forms off. Also, there will be envelopes next to the drop off box, please fold and seal your forms in to an envelope and neatly write your first and last name on the outside of the envelope and place it in to the box. Please note that if you do not fill out all of your forms correctly, this could delay your participation.
February 6th will be the last day to turn in Sports Forms.

County Relays
The bus will be leaving from woodman field at 2pm. Athletes are asked to wear black pants, blue long sleeve shirt and their blue Montclair track jackets. Remember to bring food/snacks and money for the concession stand if need be. We must show up and compete as a unit; we can’t dream about success. We have to work for it.

Tomorrow is an abbreviated day, all athletes are asked to attend the pep rally. Athletes who have been on the team please wear the blue long sleeves from last year. If you did not do winter track last year but have been on the MHS spring track or cross country team wear one of the shirts from that season. Athletes new to the program just wear something that says Montclair. Throwers will meet Coach Henry for practice at 2pm in the freshman building.
Athletes competing tomorrow; the bus will leave from Midland ave at 2:45pm, please be on time because if you are late you will be left. On time means arriving to the bus in your sweats and trainers. You are able to pick what you want to run, however some athletes will be put in races at the coaches discretion. The order of events is posted in the tabs to the right.
