(Please note: clothing doesn't sell well; limit 5 items; 
larger furniture must be reclaimed if doesn't sell)
Drop off is anytime before 6:00pm Friday, April 10 & all day Saturday, April 11
• Volunteer on Saturday to help sort & price items
• Volunteer during the sale 
• Promote the sale to the general public

Gear and Spikes!!

RTomorrow Spike Night for all event groups (sprints, distance, jumps and throws) will be held tomorrow Tuesday March 24, 2015 from 5-8pm at Fleet Feet on Midland Ave. Reps from Nike will be present with giveaways and snacks. Fleet Feet will be giving discounts on purchases on this evening as well. Please come out to support a company that always supports us! 

ALSO, the spring gear order form has been posted on the blog. One thing to keep in mind, the cost of the hoodie is $35 not $32. Make checks payable to MHS Track Booster Club.  Deadline for all order forms will be on Friday March 28, 2015. Please give your order forms to Coach Washington or Coach Wallace

Saturday Practice Update

There will be no practice tomorrow due to the track being covered with snow and the roads being unsafe. Here is the workout for Saturday.  

Workout 6 sets of: 
90 sec jumping jacks, 
60 sec lunges, 
60 sec pushups, 
60 sec squats. 
Rest 2min & repeat.

Core:
Perform these four exercises in consecutive order without rest. After you complete the fourth exercise, rest for one minute and then start over. 

Exercise 1 - Crunches for 20 reps. Make sure you squeeze your abs. Don't just go back and forth without contracting your abs.

Exercise 2 - Lying Leg Raises for 20 reps. When you raise your legs, lift your hips up at the top of the movement and squeeze your abs.

Exercise 3 - Mountain Climbers for 20 steps per leg. 

Exercise 4 - Plank for 30 seconds. As tired as you may be at this point, suck in your stomach and forcefully breathe out. You'll feel it in your core.

Rest - 1 minute.
Repeat the circuit three more times. 

Friday Workout

Warm up... 4 Sets of:
 - 20 jumping jacks
 - 1 min planks
 - 20 push-ups
 - 1 min plank
 - 20 squat jumps
 - 1 minute plank.

Workout:
Gentlemen 6 sets Ladies 4 sets of: 
— 10 push-ups 
— 20 sit-ups 
— 20 squats 
— 20 lunges 
— 80 jumping jacks 
— 60 second wall sit. 

Core: 25 basic crunches, 25 bicycle crunches, 10 v-ups, 1 minute plank. Rest @ the end for 30 seconds, then repeat 6 times.

Make sure you sure to stretch for 30 minutes upon completion and ice

Today's Workout

This is the workout to complete for ALL event groups

5 Sets:
 - 20 jumping jacks
 - 1 min planks
 - 20 push-ups
 - 1 min plank
 - 20 lunges (each leg)
 - 1 minute plank.
Rest, repeat

If you have access to a bike, elliptical or treadmill if not go outside go for approximately 20- 30 minutes and then do the above circuit.

Remember to stretch for 15-20 minutes when you have completed the workout.

Information Meeting for Parent/Guardians

There will be an information meeting for all parent/guardians on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 9am in the multipurpose room down at Woodman Field. We will be going over the schedule, selling team gear and talking about all things spring track and field. Hope to see you there!

Tuesday Practice

The forecast is saying rain tomorrow. So please come prepared with LAYERS and RAIN GEAR.

Practice will be over at 4:30pm so please plan accordingly.

Impact Test/Practice

There will be an Impact Test Monday March 9, 2015 at 3pm in the MAC LAB please be sure to download, print and have the parent permission slip signed. You can find it on the blog and on the athletic website under mandatory forms.

First Day Of Spring Track and Field

Hope you all enjoyed your snow day!! There will be practice tomorrow. We will meet at Woodman Field at 3pm. Please be on time. We will need for you to have your parent/guardian email address handy when you come tomorrow. Also have a combination lock so you can choose a locker for the season.

If you name is on the list to the right (under clearance) you are cleared for the first day of practice. Updated Information

All winter track and field athletes the winter track and field banquet will be held on Friday March 6, 2015 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria in the main building.


Also the first clearance list has been posted for the spring track and field season. If you have any questions about your clearance please email Coach Washington (boys) or Coach Wallace (girls).

The first day of practice will be held on Friday March 6, 2015 at 3pm. We will meet at Woodman Field. Be sure to have a combination lock so you can pick your locker in the respective locker rooms.
