The order of events for this weekend has been posted. Athletes competing tomorrow will be excused after 4th period and the bus will be leaving at noon from woodman field. Athletes please pack accordingly (lunch, snacks etc). Athletes competing on Saturday should be at woodman field by 7:20am. The goal for this weekend is to go out and compete; survive and advance!

Banquet/Uniform Return

The winter and spring track banquet will be held on June 18th at 6pm in the main cafeteria, please keep an eye on the blog for details. For all athletes whose season is over all parts of uniform (singlet, shorts and warm ups) should be returned on Friday June 7th. These items must be returned or you will be billed, seniors will not receive diploma.

Also, there will be an information meeting after school in the LGI on Thursday May 30 for anyone interested in running/managing cross country. Please pass the word on to anyone you know who is interested as well.

Sectionals Day 2

The bus will be leaving at 7:15

State Sectionals

The list for sectionals has been posted. Athletes we will leave from woodman field at 1:30pm, there is no school tomorrow so get your rest, make sure you all eat breakfast and lunch before we leave. Bring food, snacks and money for the concession stand if need be; also we are to be dressed like a team so make sure you all wear Montclair gear and layers it will only be a high of 74.

Fall Sports

Please see information below in regards to turning in paperwork for fall sports.

Sports physicals are:

Incoming Freshman – June 4^th

Sophomores – June 5^th

Juniors – June 11^th

Seniors – June 12^th

They are from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Main Building.  Athletes must have parent permission slip to have a physical.

Incoming Freshman completed physicals from Primary Doctor can be submitted on the following dates:

June 4^th and 17^th from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Main Building LGI Room.

Sophomores, Junior and Seniors completed physicals from Primary Doctor can be submitted to Ms. Covello, Main Office of the High School on the following dates:

May 13^th, 14^th and 15^th during your lunch periods

May 21^st, 22^nd and 23^rd during your lunch periods

June 17^th and 18^th during your lunch periods

July 11^th from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm in the Field House.

This will be the last day to turn in Sports Physicals.

Senior Option/ Volunteer

Seniors doing Senior Option need to see Mrs. Napolitano today before 12pm to sign out for Senior Option. Also, if anyone is available we could use your help tonight at 5:40 at Hurrell field in glen ridge with the recreation track. If you are available please show up at 5:40pm

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

The list of athletes competing and the order of events for the county championship has been posted. Athletes competing you will be excused from their  8th period class tomorrow and Friday; the bus will be leaving from woodman field at 2:20pm. The temperature will be a bit warmer but athletes must wear layers, everyone coming on the bus should wear Montclair attire and be dressed as if they are going to compete; no one will be allowed on the bus in street clothes. Also, please make sure you bring snacks/food and or money for the concession stand. For everyone coming to the meet there is an entry fee of $5 ($2 for students must have ID).

SEC CHAMPIONSHIP

The order of events and list of who is competing tomorrow has been posted; athletes competing should be at woodman field by 7:15. Make sure you all bring snacks, water and wear your layers as it will be cooler in the morning and we will be at the meet for a while. As a team we would like all athletes to stay for the duration of the meet and not just leave after you compete, unless you have already stated that you need to leave early. We need to support one another through all the events contested and we should all be there for to hear the final score.

Duel Meet

The bus will be leaving from woodman field at 2:45pm, all athletes will be competing in their white t-shirt and if you’ve been on the team for previous seasons you can use one of those shirts. Please be on time and come ready to compete.

County Relays & Future Stars

The list for County relays has been posted; all athletes competing are excused from their 7th and 8th period classes and the bus will leave from woodman at 1:30pm. Athletes make sure you pack layers, snacks, food and money as we will be there into the night. 

Everyone that is not competing on Friday and has consistently been at practice will compete on Saturday. The bus will leave from woodman at 7:20am and the meet starts at 9am.

Parent/Gear Update

Parents, we no longer need volunteers for the concession stand on Saturday; thank you to everyone that reached out. For those of you interested in purchasing gear the link is still live and we now have the bucket (safari) hats and the lined team jackets available.
