Tuesday Workout

Warmup; California jumping jacks for 1 minute then hold a 1 minute plank. Then do hip series (fire hydrants, kick backs, around the world) repeat circuit 6 times.

Proceed with light stretching and iron cross/scorpions.

Workout; 1 min high knees, 1 min jumping jacks, 1 min squats, 1 min pushups, 1 min lunges, 1 min rest. Repeat 6 times.

Exercise 1 - Crunches for 20 reps. Make sure you squeeze your abs. Don't just go back and forth without contracting your abs.
Exercise 2 - Lying Leg Raises for 20 reps. When you raise your legs, lift your hips up at the top of the movement and squeeze your abs.
Exercise 3 - Mountain Climbers for 20 steps per leg. Don't simply move your legs back and forth. Focus on your midsection with each step.
Exercise 4 - Plank for 60 seconds. As tired as you may be at this point, suck in your stomach and forcefully breathe out. You'll feel it in your core.
Rest - 1 minute.

SPRING TRACK AND FIELD

The last day to hand in forms for spring sports is Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4-7pm in the main building. The school doctor will be in attendance for anyone who needs to have a physical done. Please make sure you hand in your paperwork on time, no exceptions will be made. The first clearance list will be posted one day next week.

Saturday Practice

The Ed Church Invitational event list as been posted. Please report to Midland Ave on Thursday February 4, 2016 at 2:45pm.

Wednesday Workout

Warm up;
1 min high knees, 1 min jumping jacks, 1 min squats, 1 min pushups, 1 min lunges, 1 min rest. Repeat 6 times 

Take a 2 min break then do;

4 SETS OF THIS: 
— 10 push-ups 
— 20 sit-ups 
— 20 squats 
— 20 lunges 
— 80 jumping jacks 
— 60 second wall sit. 

ABS: 25 bicycle crunches, 20 reverse crunches, 1 minute plank (30 sec elbows/30 sec hands). Rest and repeat 6 times.

Metropolitan Invitational Event List

The list for the meet tomorrow has been posted, please report to Midland at 2pm. If your name is not on the list you have off tomorrow. Please check the blog for your workout at 1:30pm. The event list for Thursday's meet will be posted by noon tomorrow.

 Physicals will be held on: 
February 8th from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm for  Boys and Girls Track
        
·     PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST BE PRESENT FOR PHYSICALS.

·       Forms can be submitted on:
       February 3rd and 8th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
· February 8th is the last day to submit paperwork. IF YOU DO NOT HAND IN PAPERWORK, YOU WILL NOT BE CLEARED FOR SPRING TRACK AND FIELD. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE
