SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Great job to all who competed today at the invitational in Staten Island. Now we must build on the work we have already done.
Tomorrow we have the SEC Championships (or league meet) it is a varsity meet. However, the coaching staff is requesting that all athletes, novice and freshman attend the meet tomorrow since varsity attended the invitational today to support you.
The bus will leave from Midland Ave at 7am. Please be on time and prepared to do a shake out (come in running clothes/Montclair preferably).
See you all tomorrow.

Wednesday Meet - Coach Glenn Holiday Carnival Relay
The bus will leave from Midland Ave at 6:45am. The meet begins at 9:30am. It is imperative that everyone is on time for the bus. As discussed at practice, we went over the events that will be run tomorrow. If you left early or have been to practice for a portion of the break and the coaches are aware of you vacation schedule, be sure to come tomorrow. Individuals who are running on Thursday are expected to come to the meet tomorrow as well.
If you have not received an uniform, send Coach Wallace/Coach Washington an email by 6pm.

Athletes, if you do not compete the code of conduct form and emergency contact for located under "additional information" by Wednesday, December 21, 2016 you will receive an unexcused absence. Saturday Practice
There is no practice. Be sure to complete this workout on your own today.
Warm up
10 sets of 20 California jumping jacks
Dynamics or Light stretching if there's no room for dynamics
Workout (Sprinters and Throwers)
6 sets of 1 min high knees, 1 min squats, 1 min pushups, 1 min A skip reverse lunges (each leg for one minute), 1 min rest.
25 bicycle crunches, 20 reverse crunches, 1 minute plank (30 sec elbows/30 sec hands), 50 jumping jacks. Rest and repeat 4 times.
Cool down:
10 sets of 20 California jumping jacks
Roll out, stretch and ice. The goal is to stay focused because we're in it to win it.
Workout (Distance) After the warm up above run the prescribed miles THEN to 3 sets of the sprinter/thrower workout.
Group 1 - 6miles
Group 2 - 5 miles
Group 3 - 3.5 miles
*****only go for your run well after the precipitation has ceased. Do not go for a run in the rain or snow****

Sprinters, throwers, and groups 1 and 2 (distance) meet at the field house immediately after the pep rally.
Sprinters, throwers and group 3 distance (who do not lift as of yet) meet on the 2nd floor of the main building. (Plan for your practice to end at 4:15pm today)
The Meet and Greet (Adults Only) will be held this evening from 6-8pm in the multipurpose room at Woodman Field.

If you have been lifting with the sprinter and throwers on Monday, Wednesday and Friday since the beginning of the season, meet at Woodman 12 noon for lift.
For those who do not fall into that category, be ready to begin warmup on the track at 1:30pm.
Have layers and be prepared for the elements. Additionally, make sure you eat something approx. 2 hours before you come to practice.

Information Meeting Change/Practice Information for Saturday
As the Montclair Bread Company 5K run is being held tomorrow morning, the roads around Woodman Field will be blocked off so unfortunately the meeting scheduled for tomorrow will now be re-scheduled for Friday December 16 6-8pm, an evite will be sent out today, please RSVP ASAP.
Also, attached is the "Fleet Feet Jingle Bell Caroling Run" flyer. This is a great opportunity for the athletes to help the community at this time of year. We are asking if possible that your child bring along an unwrapped gift to 144 Midland Ave (An athlete, Luke Savitch house) or Fleet Feet at 4.45pm Sunday. All athletes that help/donate will be given community service.
Track and Field Gear will be sold at the Meet and Greet.
